I'm walking to raise funds for the mission of Autism Speaks - to fuel innovative research and make connections to critical lifelong supports and services for the autism community.
I'm walking because my son, Eric, is a adult child with autism and I support the research, advocacy, education and awareness that Autism Speaks provides. My son is a rising sophomore in college and is thankful for the Student Life Services department that provides him accomodations. He also has taken advantage of transition services after his high school graduation. This walk helps raise funds for those services and job placement opportunities. Over the years, my family has benefitted from services and I'd like to have that continue as well as support those who follow us. Plus, I need a new t-shirt!
Please support me by donating and help me meet my fundraising goal - and you, too, can join the team and make an impact for people living with autism!
In addition to coming together in person to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential, each Walk will retain the fun, remote-participation options introduced last year. Your safety is our priority — and no matter how you choose to participate, your support will be recognized and celebrated. Our community is stronger together, and we can't wait to celebrate one another and the amazing impact we are making together for people with autism and their families. Whether near or far, let's rally together on Walk day!
