Dear family and friends,

As you may know, I PRIDE to be Emilio's mom! He is an extraordinary, unique, and wonderful boy. He has out-of-this world artistic talent that impresses everyone that sees it.

I think Emilio is one in a million, but with Autism he is one in 44; As a boy he is one in 27.

Emilio had very little words until about age four, he used to refuse to try any new food, he was terrified of the happy birthday song just because he associated that with a candles/fire, I was not able to take Emilio to family or friends’ gatherings as he was not comfortable around crowds and loud noises, among many other challenges. However, with the help of early intervention, ABA, speech, and occupational therapies he has come such long way! That is why I believe in Autism Speaks! There is hope! There is a chance! 

I am Emilio's protector, teacher, warrior, and advocate. I am dedicated to helping him and other kids like him to reach their full potential!

That is why I invite you to join me to fundraise for Autism Speaks; your donation will help to fuel innovative research and provide critical lifelong programs and support for those with autism. My hope is that someday, no family will have to hear the words, "your child has autism". And, if they do, there will be so many options and answers available that they will not feel alone.
