Autism is personal for our family.

My nephew Carter has autism, and like so many individuals on the spectrum, he brings incredible strengths, personality, and joy to the people around him. Carter has also inspired something very special — the Call Me Tunes children’s book series, written by my sister to help celebrate differences, promote understanding, and remind others that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.

Today, more than 70 million children and adults worldwide are affected by autism. Each person has unique strengths, challenges, and potential.

Organizations like Autism Speaks play a vital role in supporting families and individuals through resources, advocacy, and research. Every year, the Autism Speaks Autism Response Team connects with tens of thousands of families seeking guidance, and more than one million people access their free services and resources.

That’s why I’m proud to walk as part of Team Call Me Tunes.
