Help us reach our goal!

In addition to coming together in person to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential, each Walk will retain the fun, remote-participation options introduced last year. Your safety is our priority — and no matter how you choose to participate, your support will be recognized and celebrated. Our community is stronger together, and we can't wait to celebrate one another and the amazing impact we are making together for people with autism and their families. Whether near or far, let's rally together on Walk day!

Palm Beach Walk

Autism Besties

All walkers should arrive at Meyer Amphitheater, 105 Evernia Street, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 at 9:00 AM. There will be an event kick off at 10am and the two mile walk will begin soon after.

Welcome to Autism Besties, Team Captains Shirley Sims & DeAndrea Watson. We are best friends and mothers of two amazing little people.

Our kids, Kali & Keylen were both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). People with ASD often have problems with social communication and interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests. Both Kali & Keylen are both high-functioning on the spectrum. They are both involved in weekly therapy sessions, both are verbal, and both are very independent. Kali is 5 years old and thriving in Kindergarten and receives services through ABA Centers of Florida. Kali loves barbies, Khan Academy Kids, and unicorns. Keylen is 3 years old and thriving in Pre-K. Keylen loves monster trucks, race cars, and building blocks. He is in weekly speech therapy and weekly ABA sessions. Our purpose for walking is to support our children, and all others with ASD, continue to raise autism awareness, and continue to form a village of family and friends who support the cause.

Please join us by donating to help us reach our fundraising goal of $1000.00  Together, we have the power to enhance the lives of people with autism and make a meaningful difference. Thanks so much for your support!
