STORY TIME....
For anyone who knows me, you know my brother is everything to me..back story... When I became a sister I didn't know anything about anything , nothing about being a sister I just knew there was a small little human just like me around. I personally never thought my brother was any different from others. As time flew by I did start to notice he would hit himself or cry just non stop when other kids around were calm and just playing. At age 4 the doctors diagnosed him with Autism. To me nothing changed he kept being my normal brother because to me that was just MY normal.
I would like to believe my patience came from learning to be patient with him which requires A LOT of patience and self control. Thanks to him I am the person I am now with so much patience and calm. He is a part of me. Now that I am older I TRY MY BEST to push him to challenge himself because I want him to be the best he can be. Him being different is my normal and I wouldn't change anything about it. -Lidia J
