My husband and I are raising funds for Autism Speaks because our daughter Emmie Lilly Cabrera was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder on July 16, 2024. Since her diagnosis, it has changed our lives profoundly. We’ve learned the importance of patience and empathy. This journey has pushed us to find ways to understand her unique perspective and needs better. Furthermore, this experience has opened our eyes to the challenges many families face when navigating this journey. Not everyone has access to the resources and support systems that can make a significant difference in their lives.

We believe that every child on the spectrum deserves opportunities for growth, learning, and social connection. Autism Speaks works tirelessly to promote inclusivity and provide vital resources, advocacy, and support to families like mine. By raising funds, we hope to help ensure that all children, regardless of their circumstances, can thrive and feel valued in their communities.
