I'm walking to raise funds for the mission of Autism Speaks – to make connections to critical lifelong supports and services for the autism community.  For those that know me, you know that this is a very personal cause for me.  My son, Braxton, was officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 9 yrs although I had suspected he was on the spectrum since infancy.  This walk helps raise funds for Autism Speaks whose mission is promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.  Please support me by donating and help me meet my fundraising goal.  Or, better yet, join our team and walk with us to make an impact for people like Braxton living with autism!
