About Kindness Breaks
Kindness Breaks are mini-events hosted solo or with a virtual group (via a video platform of your choice) to add more kindness to the world and raise funds for the mission of Autism Speaks — including critical work to increase global understanding and acceptance of people with autism.
A single act of kindness, message of goodwill or commitment to be kind today can make a lasting impact for people with autism. All of us working together will create a kinder world!
You can take a Kindness Break solo or virtually with colleagues, classmates or community; whatever format works best for you! When the world is more autism-friendly, it's more everyone-friendly. You can help bring this vision to life. Ready to take your Kindness Break? Get started in two easy steps...
Step 1: Sign Up
Sign up for a Kindness Break by either choosing to Take a Break (solo) or Host a Virtual Break (group). Once registered, tell your story, upload pics and set a fundraising goal to support the Autism Speaks mission.
Step 2: Plan Your Kindness Break
Pick a date in April — World Autism Month — to take your Kindness Break. Breaks can be taken solo (we get it crowds are not for everyone!) or with a group.
(Can't take a break in April? We're here all year — take your Kindness Break whenever it works for you.)
Be a Kindness Beacon!
We're here to help you share kindness in a big way. When you host a break and raise your first $25, your official Kindness Break kit will be delivered with:

These look great on screen when you connect with your crowd! Also, check out the resources page for virtual kindness assets that can bring your event to life from afar.
