Ways to Take a Kindness Break

By taking a Kindness Break with Autism Speaks, you are taking the time to be kind — and increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism. Any way you want to take a Kindness Break is the right way. Here are your choices:

Take a Break

Take a solo Kindness Break. Pick a date and set aside an hour to focus on kindness. Take the time to share kindness — with yourself, with your friends and with the autism community. We could all use a little extra kindness these days! When you're done, cap off your good work by pouring yourself a cup of kindness, posting a selfie and challenging someone else to take a Kindness Break.

Host a (Virtual!) Break

To host a virtual Kindness Break, convene your digital crowd and connect through kindness. Here are some ideas to get started:

  • Host a Kindness Break with your office mates via Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts or whatever meeting platform you may use!
  • Use your phone to FaceTime your friends and family and share ways to be kind to your autism community.
  • Go LIVE on Facebook so all of your social media buddies can join you and share the kindness.
Join a Break

Search for a Kindness Break by a host’s name so you can join in the fun! Can’t join them for their virtual event? No problem! You can still donate or take a solo Kindness Break and use our digital resources to send kindness to others around the world.
