We can’t wait to see you at Saint Arnold Brewing Company on Saturday, October 26, 2024, for the Houston 8K/5K/1K.

Here are a few things we want you to know. Please share this information with your teammates and supporters.

PACKET PICK-UP: Friday, October 25, 3-7pm at Saint Arnold Brewing Company: 2000 Lyons Avenue, Houston, TX 77020.

Please note that while we do our best to accomodate t-shirt size requests, availability is not guaranteed after October 22nd.

RACE DAY ACTIVITIES: We will have plenty of fun activities for everyone!

  • Trunk-or-treating
  • Face painting, balloon artists, stilt walker
  • Resource fair
  • Explore the fun of a firetruck, visit with the Ghostbusters and see Lightening McQueen
  • Photo opportunities with your favorite mascots: Spookley, Rafty, Ariel, Ghostbusters
  • And more!

Arrive Early! Registration and packet pick-up opens at 9:00 a.m. Our wonderful sponsors and partners will have their booths beginning at this time. The Opening Ceremonies will begin at 9:45 a.m. The 1K kicks off at 10:00 am, followed by the 8K at 10:15 am and the 5K at 10:20 am. Strollers, wheelchairs, and wagons are permitted. We run rain or shine!

Check-In/Registration: Registration opens at 9:00 am. Donations will be collected at registration. All participants need to check-in at Registration.

You can register online up until race day. If registering on the day of Run, look for the onsite registration area to complete the registration form. Donation forms will be available.

Donations: If you have money to turn in on Race Day, please turn it in at Registration. All cash and check donations collected to date should be turned in at the Run. The Donation Forms with your supporter ID can also be printed from each pre-registered participant’s individual webpage and taken to Registration. Please mail all donations to: Donations Processing Center, Autism Speaks - Houston 8K/5K/1K, P.O. Box 37148, Boone, IA 50037-0148

Please make sure your name or team name are included with the donation, so we know who to credit.

VIP: All runners who INDIVIDUALLY RAISE $100 or more will receive access to the VIP area where we will have fun activities, foods, craft beer and draft root beer.

Snacks and Refreshments: Visit the refreshments tent for pre-packaged snacks, fruit and water (while supplies last).

Sponsor Area & Resources: We have local service providers, members of the local autism community, and corporate companies registered to participate in our Sponsor Area, sharing information about their services and programs, and providing fun activities for children of all ages. The Sponsor and Resource Area will open at 9:00 a.m.

Stop by each of these areas to connect with our local sponsors and to gather topic specific resources! We will also have a kid-friendly activity at each area.

Safety: There will be volunteers and police making sure everyone who participates in the Run is safe and secure, but we also ask each adult to help us ensure the safety of all children and individuals who may need additional supervision. Please do not leave children alone at any of the activities, food areas, etc.

Lost Child: In the event you find a lost child or a parent looking for a child, stay with that parent or child, and take him/her to the Registration table. Autism Speaks staff and onsite security will be notified from there.

Inclement Weather: We run RAIN or SHINE! Please come prepared for any type of weather – be it rain gear or sunglasses and sunscreen (let’s hope for the latter).
