Road closures, transportation & drop-off location

• Ohio Drive will close the night before the event
• The best drop-off spot is Independence Ave at the MLK memorial
• The closest Metro stop is Smithsonian at 12th St.

The Walk route is less than 2 miles around the Tidal Basin

Event site
The event, including Sponsor Area, Resource Fair, stage, etc., will take place on ballfields 4, 5, and 6.

Quiet area
We know the environment at large events can be challenging for people with sensory sensitivities. All Autism Speaks Empower Walk & 5K events have a designated quiet space available to anyone who needs it. The Quiet Area will have signage, and volunteers will be available to direct you.
