Like many non-profits, we are always on the lookout for suspicious activity and anyone trying to take advantage of our donors' generosity. To this end, it has recently come to our attention individuals holding themselves out as associated with Autism Speaks have reached out to certain of our donors and partners (by phone and email) requesting payment data or other personal information. These "spoofing" or "impersonation" scams are rampant these days, and we bring this to your attention so you can be vigilant against them. Please keep in mind, we will never attempt to verify your credit card information by mentioning only the last four digits of the credit card number. As always, if you have any concerns at all that a communication is legitimate, or want to report suspicious activity, please do not hesitate to reach out to us anytime at (646) 385-8500, option 4 or DataSupport@AutismSpeaks.org.
We thank you for your assistance and continued support.
